Frequently asked questions
Do we need Kubernetes?
Not necessarily. Kubernetes is the right answer for some workloads and an expensive distraction for others. We recommend the simplest platform that fits your applications and your team's capacity to operate it, which is often a managed container service or serverless.
Will this work with our existing repositories and tools?
Yes. We build on GitHub, GitLab or Azure DevOps, whichever you use, and integrate with your existing test frameworks and ticketing. The aim is to improve your workflow, not replace it.
Which infrastructure-as-code tool do you use?
Terraform by default, because it works across all three clouds and has the largest ecosystem. We also work with CloudFormation, CDK and Bicep where a team has already standardised on them.
How long does it take to see results?
The first pipeline and the first environment in code usually land within the first few weeks. A full platform with containers, observability and security scanning takes longer, and we sequence it so the team benefits from each stage as it lands.
Can you run the platform for us afterwards?
Yes. Many clients ask us to keep operating the platform under our managed service, so their engineers use it without having to maintain it. Others prefer a handover with documentation and training. Both are normal.
Does DevOps automation help with security and compliance?
Substantially. Infrastructure in code gives you an audit trail for every change; scanning in the pipeline catches vulnerabilities before deployment; consistent environments remove the drift that causes most findings.
